Meet Meko

This is Meko...our first child.

Meko is a 4 year old cocker spaniel and a birthday present to me when I turned 22. I love this dog. But, he drives me nuts. Meko thinks he should be an only child. He's very sweet and a little weird. Ok, a lot weird! Meko holds grudges if I do something to make him mad like not give him a puppy biscuit before bed he'll let me know he's mad for days. He'll poop on the floor right after he came from outside and he'll ignore me when I talk to him. I'm not kidding. At times he's worse than Hayden, some days I feel like I have 3 children (greg, hayden, meko). Nana bought Meko his own dog bed for Christmas and he won't sleep in it. He still sleeps in the bed with us. It drives me crazy. We've tried so many times to ignore him when he wants help getting up on the bed. He will pace from side to side and whine until you pick him up. He's also very lazy, he sleeps about 23 hours a day. He's the last one to get out of bed in the morning. Some days I have to literally pick him up and make him go outside. He's a pain in the butt but, I love him and I love to pick on him...

What was I doing ten years ago: I was 16 and a sophomore at Fuquay-Varina Highschool and since it's 2:33 on a Saturday right now I was probably at work. I worked at the Hyphen Coffeehouse every Saturday from 7-4.

Five things on my to do list today: grocery store, Walmart, Michael's, pick up house, work in yard...and everything but picking up the house is done so far.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Pay off all our debt, buy a house, buy our parents a house, put money away for Hayden, buy a new car.

Three of my bad habits: biting my nails, spending too much time on the computer, procrastinating

Five places I have lived: Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Rocky Mount, Wilmington, Chapel Hill

Five jobs you've had: Rock-ola(server), Chili's(server), The Preiss Company (assistant property manager), Star City Skate Rink (funnest job ever), Blockbuster (manager-lasted a week, I hated it) I've had lots more but those are my last 5

Promised Pictures

A day late...

I accidentally deleted the pictures of the animals and I'm too sick and too tired to wait for them to upload again. Maybe tomorrow!

I don't like Hate being sick!

So, I got Hayden's cold. I'm not sure why I thought I could get by without catching it. I've got it all runny nose, fever, sore throat. I feel horrible but, I'll live.

I've been really slack about putting pictures up. I keep forgetting to get my camera out of the car. I promise I'll put them up tomorrow.


Hayden told me he wanted to wear big boy underwear today and he has done so good. No accidents so far. Hallelujah!!!


Greg is doing well at the Apex store. We hope that he can stay there for a while. The restaurant seems to be doing better than they expected and much better than Durham. Thank goodness he got out of there. The next store to open up is White Oak we aren't sure if he'll be opening that store yet. If he does we will have to move and neither of us want to do that. The money would have to be really good.


I'm gonna see if I can get Hayden to nap so I can too. I promise pictures tomorrow!!!

Last night we had

10 digging toes

10 grabby fingers

2 kicking feet

2 punching fists

TOO MANY in our bed last night!

Poor little guy has been battling a cold this week and last night his fever broke at about 11:30 pm. He woke up soaking wet and upset. So he slept with us! Hayden hasn't slept with us since he was a newborn. Not even once. He slept very well, you could tell by the snoring. Mommy and Daddy not so much. Today, I have been exhausted, one step behind all day. This is a list of things Hayden has done (I'm not kidding)

• dumped an entire bag of sugar on the coffee table (now we have ants)
• put dog food down the air vent
• took all the clothes out of his drawers
• emptied his toy chest
• hit me with his rubber snake at least a million times (I finally took it away)
• took an apple juice container out of the trash and dumped the remaining contents on the living room floor. (now we have even more ants)
• used eggs to play fetch with the dog

I'm sure there is more I haven't discovered yet...I'm exhausted can someone read me a book and tuck me in tonight? And the best part of all Greg is working late tonight so it's just me.
