A Day at the Lake

We only live about 5 minutes from the lake so we can go as often as we like. Especially with the way gas prices are a 5 minute trip down the road beats a 3 hour trip to the beach!

Hayden must have said something funny!

We had planned on going back again today but mommy put sunscreen on everyone but herself. Smart, huh!

BUBBLES

I don't know what it is about bubbles that makes children so happy. But, Hayden loves bubble and you can buy a huge mega container of them at Walmart for 3 bucks!!!
He could spend hours doing this.
I just love to see him smile! :)
You see that blurr? That's our crazy dog, Meko! He's the reason Hayden is really so happy. They are best buds but, when it comes to bubbles Meko goes a little nuts. He tries to catch them all and he'll stop for nothing, so don't get in his way
Hayden thinks it's hilarious. Really Meko is a maniac when it comes to bubbles.

Crazy, I tell you, Crazy!!! Look at those ears! This could seriously go on for hours but, just watching Meko exhausts me and I'm afraid someone is going to get hurt. So I have to only allow bubble time in small increments or we have to put Meko inside!! Crazy!

Now I have to go nap!

Funny Faces (and other stuff)

So, I left my camera at my parents house a week or so ago and haven't had a chance to go and get it. That is why I haven't been updating lately. However, I just remembered a few days ago that our video camera can take still pictures. It does not have a flash but, the pictures are still cute!!

Hayden got a new bed! We wanted to put the crib/toddler bed in storage for a while so he could get used to having his new big boy room before we needed to bring it out for the new baby. He thinks he's something else in that bed!

We've known for about a month now that we would be welcoming a new baby to the family in January. We are all very excited, a little scared to be the parents of two but, EXCITED!! So far everything is going very well and we go back to the doctor at the end of the month. Besides from being exhausted all the time I feel pretty good. We are hoping for an uneventful pregnancy this time and I think it will happen. Hayden isn't really sure what is going on but, we think he'll be a great big brother!

Who Am I?

I just realized it has been over a week since I last posted a blog entry. I don't even know why. I've sat down a few times and began a post and just never finished. My head has been in a fog all week and I feel like I've been so busy but, I couldn't tell you exactly what I did. I feel like I've missed an entire week. I don't know who I am, what I've done, or what I'm supposed to be doing. I haven't even taken a picture of Hayden until today. Man, I don't know whats wrong with me. I guess it could be the lack of sleep considering Hayden doesn't think sleep is a necessity. He refuses to nap, refuses to go to bed at night, and wakes up at the crack of dawn.

Anyway, it rained this morning and Hayden and I were lazy. We've played games and built forts and watched Noggin all morning. If I had it my way I would have stayed snuggled in bed under the covers all day. But, Hayden wouldn't have that.

Today, Hayden has refused to take a nap. Surprise, surprise. I thought I could jump in the shower while he was pretending to sleep in his room but, I was surprised in the shower by a cars fishing pole. "I got it mommy" he says. I only got 1/2 of one leg shaved and I think I washed my hair. Ah...motherhood!

Toddler Sleepovers

Landon came over this afternoon to have a sleepover with Hayden. They played a lot and didn't take a nap. It is now 9:30 pm and they have been asleep for over an hour. I'm not kidding. It's amazing, I don't know what to do with myself. I thought for sure they would be up kind of late tonight. I think I might crawl in bed and watch a movie. I love those boys!

Legos

We bought Hayden some Lego's yesterday. I'm not really sure why he never had any before but he loves blocks so I figured he would like Lego's too. I probably should have bought them in the winter but I needed something that would keep him occupied so I could rest during the day since he refuses to take a nap. I am so glad I bought these Lego's.
