SNOW DAY (part 2)

The snow sure does make our house pretty. I'm not even sure exactly how much snow we got this time. I do know that it isn't nearly as much as we got last month. The roads are pretty much clear at this point. However, the temperature keeps dropping, so I am sure the roads will be bad tonight. And if you've ever driven in NC in the snow you know that NO ONE knows how to drive!! So, I'm staying home!

Hayden thought that this Magnolia tree needed to be cleaned off. I think it was a bigger job that he had anticipated!

Hayden's attempt to get me with a snow ball. The snow just wasn't sticky enough. Snow balls just kind of fell apart mid air. He sure is cute though.

Don't be fooled...this is only a snow angel. Hayden has not exactly been an angel lately. Although, his behaviour this week has been much better than weeks before. Hopefully, he is getting out all of his misbehaving before the baby is born...ha!

Man, we made one cute kid!!!

I told Hayden that it was cold and we should probably go inside. His response was "but mommy, I've got to drive my truck!" The truck didn't move.

I do enjoy snow days, but I don't enjoy the actual snow. It does give me an extra day to get things done around the house which is always nice.

SNOW DAY!

Today would be so much more fun if Greg was here. Instead, Hayden is stuck with me and I hate snow. Absolutely despise it. I don't like to be cold. It's 8:27am and Hayden has asked me if we can go out and play probably 35 times. Poor little guy, I promise I'll take him out I just have to prepare myself.

This is from the last time it snowed, about a month ago.

and he shall be called...

Thank you to everyone that helped us with our naming dilemma. Greg and I have thought long and hard about what our sweet baby boy will be called. All week we have thought about every aspect of his name anda his future. We wanted a solid name, that would be respectable even as an adult. The name that we have chosen was not an option until early this week. I hope no ones feelings are hurt. We love the name Cooper but just weren't sure it was the right fit for this baby. I wasn't 100% about it and didn't want to settle on something that we weren't sure about. The name we have chosen, we love and we both agree on. Well, except Hayden who calls the baby "Lightening McQueen", but he will get over it. I think I have drove Greg absolutely crazy with the baby names. I know he is relieved we have finally chosen a name. And so he will be called...

Cole Talon Hartz
We actually got his first name from babynamegenie.com and my sister actually gave us the idea of Talon weeks ago as a first name. (Thanks Nikki) Unless Greg changes his mind this decision is final. I hope everyone likes it.

Baby Update!

On Friday I had my 24 week appointment and everything seems to be moving along fine. My blood pressure was a little elevated and there was a small trace of protein in my urine. However, no one seems too concerned at this point. I still feel great! When I was pregnant with Hayden I didn't feel like myself at all. For a week I will continue to take my blood pressure twice a day and return on Friday with my results. The doctors are thinking that I may just have chronic hypertension. The baby sounded great and I am measuring right on track. Although, I feel huge, I lost 1 lb this month. They don't seem concerned that I am not gaining weight either, I am just really active this pregnancy.

We need help!

We still have not decided on a name for our baby boy. We have one picked out but are not 100% about it. I guess I just need a little encouragement. Here is my dilemma: The name we have chosen is Cooper Reid. Which Sounds really good together! Then you add our last name, Hartz and it still sounds pretty good. However, how often do you say your child's full name? Not that often. He will more than likely just be called Cooper, or when he is older Cooper Hartz. Sounds funny, right? The thing about the name Cooper is, it's my maiden name. So, it would be nice to keep the name in the family. Greg loves it, I'm still on the fence about. What do you think?

Go Heels!

Oh how Wednesday was a glorious day. For the 4th year in a row UNC beat Duke at Cameron Indoor. The final score was 101-87. It was beautiful. Hayden was pumped about the game all day and he was telling everyone he saw that today was "Go Heels Day". He was shouting "boo duke" and praising the heels every chance he got. We sure did teach him right. The pictures below are just before we were leaving for school. Please excuse the horrible picture of me, I look like I just crawled out of bed. But, I just couldn't resist not posting the adorable picture of Hayden.
